Harvey C. Perry II

Senior Vice President, Director of the Office for Nonprofit Resources

Perry Harvey, a resident of Westerly, R.I., serves the not-for-profit sector in Washington Trust's market area and works in partnership with business services, commercial lending and wealth management. He meets with the executive directors and chief financial officers of nonprofit organizations as a free consultant to identify the services, information and other resources that can help them achieve their mission effectively. He then connects the organizations with the people and companies that can provide those resources, including, financial services and business development professionals from Washington Trust. He also serves on the Bank's Charitable Contributions Committee, and advises the Chairman and CEO on issues of corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Harvey joined the Bank in 1974, and served in wealth management for 28 years. He served as head of the Bank's Trust and Investment area for 17 years until 2004, when he left to assume responsibilities as senior vice president, director of the office for non-profit resources. He served as corporate secretary from 1982 to 2005 and was promoted to senior vice president in 1990.

Harvey graduated from Haverford College with a bachelor's of arts degree in 1974. He graduated from the New England School of Banking at Williams College in 1977, and National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in 1986.

Harvey has served as a board member for a number of civic and charitable organizations. Currently, he serves as trustee of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Grantmakers Council of Rhode Island. He is president of the Westerly Land Trust and is a commissioner of the Quonochontaug Beach Conservation Commission. Harvey is a former President of the Rhode Island Bankers Association.  He was also named Citizen of the Year in 2006 by the Greater Westerly Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce.
