BenefitsHow do I submit a resume?

Washington Trust utilizes an online application system. Simply choose a specific position to apply for, and complete the information requested. This system also allows candidates to conveniently attach their resume. If you meet the qualifications you will be contacted to progress in the recruiting process.

Is my information secure?
Our recruiting site is a secured website and the Bank takes great care to safeguard all applicant and employee information.

If I have difficulty submitting my resume online or need additional assistance is there another way to apply?

Can I apply at my local branch?
We prefer that candidates apply online but we will accept hard-copy resumes for review at our various branch and office locations.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?
You may apply for more than one position at a time.

What happens to my application once it is submitted?
Great question! All applications are reviewed and screened by a Human Resources representative. Candidates who meet the qualifications for the position will be contacted for an interview. Some positions require applicant testing which may be sent via email prior to the interview or may take place in Human Resources.

Will a recruiter contact me by phone, mail or email?
A confirmation email will be sent to let you know that your information has been received. If you meet the qualifications you will be contacted by phone or email for more information or to set up an interview.

Where can I find information regarding benefits and company culture?

After the interview, how long does the hiring process take?
Our goal at Washington Trust is to find the best fit for each position, so the process may take some time. We appreciate your patience! You may contact Human Resources to follow-up but in most cases you will be contacted directly (via telephone, email, or letter) once the hiring decision has been made.

What happens to my resume if I am not selected for the position?
Resumes are kept on file for 1 year but you may apply for different opportunities during that time. We recommend that you sign-up for our automated posting notification to receive alerts regarding new positions.
