A change of legal name may be processed at any Washington Trust branch location. A valid state issued ID or Driver's License accompanied by an appropriate legal document will be required for all change of name requests. Deposits may be processed to any Washington Trust account by visiting a Washington Trust branch location. A deposit may also be processed by visiting a Washington Trust branch location ATM Terminal after hours. Funds may also be transmitted electronically to your account as a Direct Deposit or Wire Transfer from another financial institution. If you are not able to process a deposit at a Washington Trust branch location or through electronic means, you may send a check or money order with a deposit slip to the following address for credit to your account.

During Business Hours:
Debit or ATM Cards may be cancelled during business hours by contacting our Account Information Center or by visiting any Washington Trust branch location. Representatives are available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM or Friday from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
After Business Hours:
After business hours, please dial 401-348-1200 or 800-475-2265. When prompted, select option 3 to report the loss or theft of a Debit or ATM card. Please contact Washington Trust the following business day to have a new Debit card ordered.
Once a new Debit Card has been received, the card may be activated by inserting the card into a ATM Terminal. The PIN associated with the card may then be entered to process the activation. A simply Balance Inquiry or ATM withdrawal may be processed to complete the activation process.
Debit Cards are typically received within 7 to 10 business days from the date of request. The card is sent in a plain white envelope without reference to The Washington Trust Company for security purposes. A PIN will also be sent in conjunction with the card and should be received shortly before or after the card.
Online Banking access may be reset by selecting the Forgotten Password link offered through Online Banking. A verification of the request will be completed by correctly answering the established security questions. If you continue to experience difficulty with resetting your Online Banking or are unable to recall your security questions, please contact our Account Information Center. Representatives are available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM or Friday from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Statements are available to all Personal Online Banking customers by accessing the Online Statements menu. Once the Terms & Conditions have been accepted, bank statements will be available through Online Banking on a monthly basis. The mailing of paper statements may be cancelled by accessing User Options and updating the current Online Statement Options to waive the mailing on a monthly basis.
The Washington Trust Company does not hold a SWIFT code as wire transfer received from international locations must first be processed through a clearing house. When sending an international wire, the sending bank will be able to locate an appropriate clearing house based on Washington Trust's wire instructions.
Fees may be assessed when processing a Domestic or International Wire Transfer. Wire fees are as follows:
