Westerly, Rhode Island... Dogs and cats in the greater Warwick, Rhode Island area have a new place to go for medical care and boarding, thanks to $1.25 million in construction and permanent financing from The Washington Trust Company. The loan, made to Rhode Island Animal Medical Center - Four Paws Resort, was made in partnership with the Small Business Administration and the Ocean State Business Development Authority.

Rhode Island Animal Medical Center - Four Paws Pet Resort recently opened at 343 Warwick Avenue. The state-of-the-art facility is owned and operated by veterinarian Kevin Callanan and his son, Chad. It offers complete veterinary care for dogs, cats and exotic pets, and has an in-house laboratory and digital radiology. The boarding kennel has space for 57 dogs and 16 cats, is medically supervised, and offers grooming, dog obedience training and daycare for dogs. Website address: www.4pawsne.com.
