Washington Trust Enhances Online Banking Service

Westerly, Rhode Island... The Washington Trust Company has enhanced its online banking system, providing customers with several new features to make their banking faster, easier and more convenient. The Bank has also added a new navigation system for its web site, www.washtrust.com, making it easier for customers to find the information they need with the click of a mouse.

Customers can view up-to-the minute, "real-time" reporting of all transactions they have completed online, at any of the Bank's branches, through telephone banking, ATMs, and electronic deposits and withdrawals. Customers can also see their current and available balances online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Other features added to the Bank's online system include the ability to view images, both front and back, of cancelled checks. With this feature customers can see when they wrote the check, who it was written to and when it was cleared. Requesting a change of address can also be done online, as well as requesting debit cards and reordering checks - all through a secure system. Customers can even apply for loans, including home equity loans or lines of credit, auto loans and mortgage pre-qualifications online.

"Washington Trust strives to give its customers the best, up-to-date service possible, and the enhancements to the online banking system provide customers with the convenience and speed they are looking for when banking," said John C. Warren, Chairman and CEO of The Washington Trust Company.
