Washington Trust Donates $11,000 To Local Community Groups
Westerly, Rhode Island... The Washington Trust Company is kicking off the holiday season early this year, with a pledge of $11,000 to local community groups for the Thanksgiving season. The Bank will also hold its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive from Friday, October 28 through Saturday, November 5. Canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected at all 16 Washington Trust branch locations in Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut."Washington Trust is pleased to once again coordinate food drives for the upcoming holiday season to help those in need in our community," said John C. Warren, Chairman and CEO of The Washington Trust Company. "We are also happy to make a donation of $1,000 to each of the eleven agencies benefiting from the food drive to use for buying turkeys and other food items needed to provide holiday meals for those who otherwise would go without."
