Washington Trust Dresses Down for Operation Homefront

February 7, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . The Washington Trust Company presented a $1,000 donation to Operation Homefront Southern New England. The funds were collected during the Bank’s January Dress Down Day. Each month Washington Trust holds a Dress Down Day to benefit a different non-profit organization. Employees donate $2 in return for “dressing down” for the day, and the Bank matches the total amount donated.

Operation Homefront runs programs that help make a difference in the quality of life for military families. Their services fill urgent needs and are designed to give a helping hand to families of troops when needed.

Elizabeth B. Eckel, senior vice president, Washington Trust, presents a “check” for $1,000 to Mary Moran, community president, Operation Homefront Southern New England.
