Washington Trust Employees Raise $1,480 on National Wear Red Day

February 13, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . . Washington Trust employees raised $1,480 on National Wear Red Day, Friday, February 3. Close to 300 employees donated $5 each, wore red and received a Red Dress Pin to wear in support of the American Heart Association's research and education efforts to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.

National Wear Red Day is part of the Go Red For Women movement, a nationwide call to action for women to be proactive in taking care of their own health, since heart disease is the number one cause of death for women.

Washington Trust invites its customers and members of the public to visit any of the Bank's 16 branches to make a $5 donation and receive a Red Dress Pin to wear in support of the AHA's work.
