Washington Trust Collects Clothing For Big Sisters
-Bank Collects 1000 Pounds of Clothing-August 1, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . . The Washington Trust Company held a used clothing drive to benefit Big Sisters of Rhode Island. More than 1000 pounds of gently used clothing was collected at four of the Bank's locations in early July. Participating in the drive was the Main Office, the Operations Center, the Franklin Street Office, located in Westerly, and the Charlestown Office, located in Charlestown.
"We are absolutely delighted that the employees of Washington Trust have been so generous with their donations of clothing to support our mentoring programs," said Priscilla Young, Executive Director of Big Sisters of Rhode Island Mentoring Agency. "We are grateful for the interest by the Washington Trust employees." The donations are sold by weight to the local Savers stores with proceeds benefiting Big Sisters of Rhode Island mentoring programs.
