Washington Trust Customer Wins Savings Bond

August 22, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . . Ariana Brooke Azzoli, of Cranston, R.I., was a grand-prize winner of a $50 savings bond in The Washington Trust Company's "Cents-ible Savings Contest". Students from grades K - 3 and 4 - 6 were encourage to draw and color things they would buy if they won a million dollars, through the Providence Journal in May.

Azzoli, a Western Hills Middle School student, is the daughter of Armand and Susan Azzoli of Cranston. She was selected in the grade 4 - 6 category, and received her $50 savings bond from Alison Medeiros, assistant vice president and branch manager of the Washington Trust's Cranston branch. Azzoli's picture featured drawings of items she would buy for herself, including an iPod, cell phone, Abercrombie and Hollister clothing, along with items she would give to others including, clothing, food, housing, glasses, education and funding for cancer research.
