Washington Trust Hires New Employees

August 31, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . . Marjana Catanzaro, of Narragansett, R.I., has been named commercial credit analyst for The Washington Trust Company. Catanzaro, who works out of the Bank's Main Office in Westerly, is responsible for developing and analyzing all types of credit information pertaining to diverse types of loans. She prepares and occasionally presents credit write-ups to loan officers or committees, provides assistance to loan officers and credit managers. Catanzaro has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rhode Island.

Charlene P. Davenport, of Ledyard, Conn., has joined the marketing department as Public and Community Relations Coordinator at the Bank's Main Office in Westerly. She will play a key role in helping to promote the Washington Trust brand and the Bank's employees through press releases, media placement and publicity photos. She will also oversee community sponsorships, manage the employee volunteerism program and coordinate outreach initiatives. Davenport has extensive experience in public and media relations. She has a M.S. from Eastern Connecticut State University and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.

Lonnie Littler, of New London, Conn., has been named assistant branch manager of Washington Trust's Mystic A & P branch. She will oversee the new branch's daily operations, and will be responsible supervising the in-store financial services staff, and for promoting and cross-selling the Bank's products and services. Littler has more than ten years experience in banking sales, service and mortgages. She has a B.S. from Utica College of Syracuse University.
