October 26, 2006 (Westerly, RI) . . . The Washington Trust Company is donating $11,000 to local community groups for the Thanksgiving season. The Bank will also hold its annual Food Drive from Monday, October 30 through Friday, November 10. Canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected at all 16 Washington Trust branch locations in Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut.
Washington Trust is pleased to once again to make a donation of $1,000 to each of the eleven agencies we have supported in past years for the upcoming holiday season, said John C. Warren, Chairman and CEO of The Washington Trust Company. We are also happy to conduct our annual food drive for these agencies so they may provide food to those in need in our community.
