Washington Trust Hires New Vice President

December 13, 2006 (Westerly, RI). . . Eugene J. McCabe, Jr., of Middletown, R.I., has been named vice president, portfolio manager for Washington Trust Wealth Management. McCabe, who works out of the Bank’s Providence Office, is responsible for assisting clients in formulating their investment objectives and asset mix, and investing clients portfolios. McCabe holds a B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Diocese of Providence, a director of the Providence Society of Financial Analysts, chairman of the St. Philomena School Investment Committee and treasurer of Middletown Babe Ruth Baseball League.
