Washington Trust Vice President Receives Providence Business News Recognition

August 1, 2007 (Westerly, RI). . . Jeffrey J. Frenette, of North Stonington, Conn., vice president of technology for The Washington Trust Company was recognized as one of the “40 Under 40,” by Providence Business News at an awards ceremony at the Save the Bay headquarters in Providence on Thursday, July 26, 2007. “40 Under 40” recognizes 40 highly successful and committed individuals under the age of 40. Individuals selected for this designation are at the top of their chosen field and active in their community.

Frenette was chosen for his professional achievements at Washington Trust and his commitment to the community. He joined the Bank in 1987 and worked in a number of operational positions. He graduated in 1993 with a B.S. in Accounting from Johnson and Wales University. In 1998 he was promoted to assistant vice president for information services, and in 1999 to vice president, where he currently oversees the Bank’s technology departments.
