Washington Trust Hires New Vice President

September 6, 2007 (Westerly, RI). . . Peter R. Phillips of Warwick, R.I., has been appointed vice president and investment officer for The Washington Trust Company’s Wealth Management division. He is responsible for managing investments and researching and analyzing investment securities. Phillips has a B.S. from Syracuse University and a M.S. in Finance from Bentley College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, a board member and past president of the Providence Society of Financial Analysts, and a finance committee member of the Rhode Island Historical Society.
