Washington Trust Donates $11,000 To Local Food Banks
October 24, 2007 (Westerly, RI). . . The Washington Trust Company is donating $11,000 to local community groups for the Thanksgiving season. The Bank will also hold its annual Food Drive from Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 9. Canned goods and non-perishable food items will be collected at all 17 Washington Trust branch locations in Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut.
“Washington Trust understands the need in our community is especially great during the holiday season,” said John C. Warren, Chairman and CEO of The Washington Trust Company. “We are happy once again to contribute to those agencies that have a great impact on our community members. We encourage our customers to bring canned goods to our offices to benefit their neighbors.”
Washington Trust customers, employees and members of the community are invited to bring canned goods and non-perishable items to the following branch locations during regular banking hours:
