January 25, 2008 (Westerly, Rhode Island). . . The Washington Trust Company has launched a re-designed website, www.washtrust.com, featuring a new look with sections for business banking, personal banking, and wealth management; solutions-based navigation; a business specialty center; an enhanced security center; an account service center; and easier online banking access.
The site’s new functionality includes a resource center, which includes articles to help customers with their personal or business banking needs. The personal banking section provides information to assist customers with buying their first home, saving for college, and building their wealth. The business banking section’s “Business Specialty Center,” has resources for customers in specific business sectors, such as retail, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit or health care. The Wealth Management section contains case studies on topics such as planning for retirement, succession planning and trust services.
There are also “crossover links” between the sections, allowing customers who need information in another section, easy access. Featured on each page are log in boxes for online banking, as well as a link to the Security Center, which provides information on phishing, scams and identity theft.
“We are happy to provide a website that incorporates financial tools and information to help our customers with their financial decisions,” said Lisia E. Quinlivan, vice president and e-commerce manager of Washington Trust. “It is designed to provide a solution to a need, not just a list of products and services.”
