Washington Trust Announces Vice President

August 19, 2008 (Westerly, Rhode Island). . .The Washington Trust Company recently announced the promotion of Sharon L. Morgan, of Mystic, Conn., to vice president and branch manager. Morgan joined the Bank in 1998 as a trust administrative assistant, and was promoted to financial services officer in 1999. She was named manager of the Bank's Wakefield branch in 2005, and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2006. In 2007 she was named manager of the Franklin Street branch in Westerly. Morgan is responsible for the branch's overall growth and development, overseeing retail operations and mortgage origination. She received an Associate Degree from York College of Pa., and a Bachelor's Degree from Providence College. She is a volunteer for the Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island, and is a member of Eta Lambda.
