Washington Trust Announces Promotion and Transfer

September 22, 2008 (Westerly, Rhode Island). . .The Washington Trust Company announces the following employee promotion and transfer:

Tammy A. Sousa, of Hope Valley, R.I., has been promoted to sales & service manager of the Bank's Main Office branch in Westerly. She will oversee the daily operations of the branch and will be responsible for new account sales and building customer relationships. Sousa joined the Bank in 1996 as a teller, became a certified professional teller in 2001, and was promoted to head teller in July 2001. In December 2002, she was promoted to branch operations officer. Sousa has completed a Management Certification Program and continues taking classes through the Center for Financial Training.

Jennifer M. Dugas, of Pawcatuck, Conn., sales and service manager, has transferred to the Bank's Franklin Street Office in Westerly, from the Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston office. Dugas joined the Bank in 2005 in the Management Certification Program, and was promoted to sales and service manager in May of 2007. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island.
