Washington Trust Receives Visionary Award

Elizabeth B. Eckel, senior vice president of marketing and investor relations, Washington Trust, receives the Visionary Award from Sue Else, president, National Network to End Domestic Violence.

October 14, 2008 (Westerly, RI). . .The Washington Trust Company received a Visionary Award from the Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County (DVRCSC), during their annual meeting in September, at which they celebrated their 30th anniversary. The DVRCSC created the 30th Birthday Visionary Award for 31 honorees, who have gone the extra mile to assist victims of domestic violence and their children, promote their services, offer financial support, sensitively work with court advocates, and volunteer on special projects.

“Washington Trust was selected because of its constant support to the DVRCSC, and helping the DVRCSC to reach thousands of people with information about the issue of domestic violence,” said Mary Roda, executive director, Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County. “Washington Trust has been a community leader and shares our vision to have a future free from domestic violence.”
