Washington Trust Holds Vault Signing At New Warwick Location
-Bank continues to expand with second branch in the City of Warwick-

Lauren Slocum, Central RI Chamber President; John C. Warren, Washington Trust Chairman and CEO; Vanessa O. Zampini, Vice President and Branch Manager; and Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian celebrated the official Ground Breaking of the Bank’s new Warwick branch, at 1463 Warwick Avenue, by signing the newly installed vault, at a recent ceremony.

Washington Trust chairman and CEO, John C. Warren, joined other Bank executives, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian, city officials, project designers and builders to celebrate the Bank’s new Governor Francis branch official “Vault Signing/ Ground Breaking” on Monday, June 22, 2009.

Construction of the branch, located at 1465 Warwick Avenue, is already underway with anticipated opening in the Fall of 2009. It will be a 4,270 square foot, New England style, full-service branch with all of the conveniences customers need including five walk-up teller stations, one of which will be ADA compliant; drive up and walk-up ATM’s, multiple drive-thru lanes, night depository, and safe deposit boxes.

Vanessa O. Zampini, vice president, has been named branch manager of the Governor Francis branch. She began her career at Washington Trust in 1991 and has served in various key roles throughout the retail division of the bank. She was part of the management team that successfully launched the bank’s first Warwick branch in 2003, and two years, later was promoted to lead that team as branch manager. She is a member of the Warwick Rotary Club, the Pawtuxet Valley, Central RI and East Greenwich Chambers of Commerce and on the Board of House of Hope.
