Recent changes to DEM state septic system regulations, affecting homeowners living in CRMC's Salt Pond and Narrow River Special Area Management Plan areas (parts of Charlestown, Narragansett, North Kingstown, South Kingstown and Westerly), now require home and business owners who repair or upgrade their septic systems to install a denitrification system.
