Washington Trust announces that Kristen L. DiSanto of South Kingstown, R.I., senior vice president of human resources, was named as one of the "40 Under 40," by Providence Business News. She was recognized at an awards ceremony at the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport on Thursday, July 30, 2009. "40 Under 40" recognizes 40 highly successful and committed individuals under the age of 40. DiSanto was chosen for her professional achievements at Washington Trust and her commitment to the community. She has more than 18 years of human resources experience, primarily in the banking industry. She joined the Bank in 1994, and was promoted to assistant vice president in 1996 and vice president in 1998. DiSanto holds a bachelor of arts in speech communication from the University of Rhode Island, and has been certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island, and continues her involvement with that organization serving on the special events committee and participating in core program session days. She also serves on the legislative committee of the Rhode Island Business Group on Health, the finance committee of Saint Elizabeth Community and the Personnel Committee of the Ocean Community YMCA.
