Brian Mahone, of Exeter, R.I., and Carl Sylvester of Hanover, Mass., have joined Washington Trust as vice presidents and regional managers for the Washington Trust Home Loan Center in Sharon, Mass. They will oversee the daily activities, and lead the team of lending professionals at the Home Loan Center, which offers a full-range of residential lending solutions, including fixed rate, variable rate, construction loans, jumbo mortgages, reverse mortgages, FHA & VA loans, as well as home equity loans and lines of credit.
Mahone has more than 20 years of mortgage loan and management experience, and was formerly a co-owner of a mortgage company in Massachusetts for the past 15 years. He has a degree from Hall Institute, and is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, and an active member of the Reverse Mortgage Committee for the Massachusetts Mortgage Association.
Sylvester has more than 17 years of mortgage loan and management experience and was formerly a co-owner of a mortgage company in Massachusetts. He has a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University, and participated in co-op studies at a Fortune 500 company. Sylvester is a member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Association and Massachusetts Board of Realtors. He is active in his community's youth sport system and is a coach for the Suburban All Star Travel Baseball Team.
