Westerly, Rhode Island... Washington Trust has announced that Jason A. Costa, of Cumberland, R.I., and Jay D. Farland of Attleboro, Mass., have been appointed Vice President and Commercial Lender and are headquartered at Washington Trust's Weybosset Street Office in Providence, R.I. Both will be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial banking relationships throughout the Bank's market area in southern New England.
Costa has more than 15 years of commercial banking experience, most recently with Citizens Financial Group. During his banking career, he has worked closely with distributors, manufacturers, medical practices, and professional service firms. He holds an M.B.A from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College. Jason is a soccer coach for Cumberland Youth Soccer and a hockey coach with the Northern Rhode Island Vikings. He and his family live in Cumberland, R.I.
Farland has more than 18 years of banking experience, most recently as relationship manager with Citizens Bank, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bryant University. He and his family live in Attleboro, Mass.
