Westerly, Rhode Island... Washington Trust, the largest bank headquartered in Rhode Island, recently presented the Rhode Island Philharmonic with donation of $1,000 to help provide scholarships and financial aid for Music School students. The check was presented to a group of Music School students who recently performed for Washington Trust bank officials, community members and guests as the Bank celebrated its new branch office at 587 Taunton Avenue in East Providence.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic is widely recognized as one of the premier regional orchestras in the United States, and is the largest fully integrated professional orchestra and music school in the country. The Philharmonic combines exceptional symphonic performances with an emphasis on high quality music education at its Music School. This year, the School will serve approximately 14,500 children, youth and adults with lessons, classes, ensembles and community engagement programs.
