Westerly, Rhode Island... URI Athletics is proud to announce that Washington Trust will serve as the official game sponsor of this year's matchup against Providence at the Thomas M. Ryan Center on Friday, Dec. 23. The event will be part of the Bank’s “I Luv RI” campaign, which celebrates all that’s great about Rhode Island.
The Runnin' Rams and Friars will face off in Kingston for the 124th time in the history of the two schools. The home team has captured the last eight meetings in the annual game. Providence earned an 87-74 victory last season at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

As part of their game sponsorship, Washington Trust gave away four-packs of tickets to the game and a pre-game pizza party. Washington Trust also awarded four courtside tickets at the Ryan Center to one lucky “Super Fan” who best demonstrated their Rhody spirit.
Additionally, one lucky student in attendance on Dec. 23 will have the opportunity to win $50,000 in the “Take It To The Bank” Shootout Challenge at halftime.
