Westerly, Rhode Island... Washington Trust announced today that it has opened The Washington Trust Home Loan Center, a mortgage loan production office located at 180 Glastonbury Boulevard, Suite 107 in Glastonbury, just outside of Hartford, CT. The Bank hired several experienced mortgage professionals in recent months and the Glastonbury office now has a team of eight employees, led by longtime Glastonbury resident Steven Veronesi. The Washington Trust Home Loan Center mortgage team originates residential loans, including fixed rate, variable rate, construction loans, jumbo mortgages, reverse mortgages, as well as home equity loans and lines of credit, to borrowers throughout the Greater Hartford area. Mortgage loan processing and underwriting is also being at the Home Loan Center.

James Gueltzow, Vice President, and Connecticut Regional Manager, of Westerly, RI, is responsible for expanding Washington Trust’s residential lending presence in Connecticut. Prior to joining Washington Trust, James has 15 years of mortgage banking experience, running operations throughout the United States and Canada, most recently as Site Director of Accredited Home Lenders’ San Diego, Calif., office. He attended Eastern State Connecticut University, and received his Connecticut State Appraisal licensing from the University of Connecticut.
Steven Veronesi, of South Glastonbury, CT, Vice President and Connecticut Area Manager, is responsible for managing and developing the Glastonbury office as well as originating mortgage loans. He has more than 25 years of lending experience, most recently with Bank of America. He received a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.
Raymond Michaud, of Trumbull, CT, Assistant Vice President and Senior Mortgage Officer, is responsible for the origination of residential real estate mortgage loans, including first and second mortgages for purchase, refinance, construction and debt consolidation purposes. His mortgage career in Connecticut spans more than 18 years, most recently with Newtown Savings Bank. He is an instructor for the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtor and the President of the Trumbull Alliance.
Paul Carrier, of Simsbury, CT, Senior Mortgage Loan Officer, is responsible for originating mortgage loans and works closely with real estate, financial, and building professionals throughout Connecticut. He has more than 18 years of lending experience, most recently with Bank of America. He is a member of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors and a Team Leader for Rebuild Together.
Kathleen Dolan, of Salem, CT, Mortgage Loan Officer, is responsible for providing and promoting mortgage products and services to a variety of clients. She has more than 10 years of lending experience, most recently with MetLife Home Loans. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and was rated Top Loan Officer in Connecticut Magazine in March 2011.
Kathy Wesier, of Litchfield, CT, Mortgage Loan Officer, responsible for providing financial direction to home buyers regarding the purchase and closing of loans. She has more than 10 years of lending experience, most recently with MetLife Home Loans. She received a bachelor’s degree from Endicott College and serves as the house manager for TriArts at Sharon Playhouse.
