Washington Trust Announces Promotions

Westerly, Rhode Island... Washington Trust recently announced the promotion of the following employees:

Jonathan A. Roderick of Cumberland, R.I. has been appointed Vice President & Regional Manager, responsible for managing and supervising Washington Trust's Northern Region branches, including Downtown Providence, East Providence, 3 branches in Cranston, and the Bank's newest office in Johnston, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2014. Roderick also assists branch managers in sales management, in-branch banking, partnership relationships, and community involvement. He has more than 10 years bank management experience, with past responsibilities including retail branch management and the retention and development of new clients. Roderick?s background includes retail management experience and military service in the U.S. Navy. He currently serves on the board of The Autism Project of Rhode Island.

Alison M. Medeiros of Cranston, R.I. has been appointed Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager of the Bank's North Kingstown branch located at 7625 Post Road. She is responsible for developing and motivating the North Kingstown branch team, managing daily branch operations, and growing the branch?s deposit base and loan portfolio. Medeiros has more 11 years retail banking experience since Washington Trust in 2002 as a head teller. She has an Associate?s Degree in Science and Business Administration from the New England College of Business & Finance. An active volunteer, Medeiros has received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award four times.

Saleh S. Yassine of Rumford, R.I. has been appointed Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank's East Providence branch located at 587 Taunton Avenue. He is responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch, growing the branch?s deposit base, and maintaining Washington Trust?s active role in the community. Yassine previously worked at Citizens Bank, where he most recently served as a Business Banking Client Manager. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University in 2012 with a Masters degree in Global Business Leadership, with a concentration in accounting. Yassine also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Beirut Arab University.
