Washington Trust CEO Joseph MarcAurele was joined by Governor Lincoln Chafee and RI Community Food Bank CEO Andrew Schiff at the PB Xpress Peanut Butter Luncheon on April 1st at the State House.
On April 1st, Washington Trust encouraged Rhode Islanders to pack their lunch and donate the difference to the PB Xpress to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. This one day initiative raised $1639 for hungry Rhode Island families.
Our 11th annual peanut butter drive runs through the end of April. The hundreds of businesses, schools and community groups participating in the PB Xpress will deliver their donations on our "collection day" on April 30th at our Governor Francis branch in Warwick, RI. Scooby Doo will be there to help us collect peanut butter and take pictures! We invite you to stop by, drop off a jar of peanut butter and join in the fun!
