Supreme Dairy - I Luv RI Business Spotlight

A company that was built almost solely on ricotta and mozzarella cheese has continued to grow over the last 80-plus years.

Each month, Washington Trust spotlights a local business on WPRI's The Rhode Show. This month's company gives a new meaning to the phrase, "Say cheese."

Supreme Dairy Farms was founded on Federal Hill back in the early 1930's. The company operated there for the first 30 years, and then moved to Warwick, where it has remained in business for the last half-century.    Watch the video now!

The Home Show is Coming!

The House is Back! For the second straight year, the Rhode Island Builders Association, working with CRM Modular Homes will be constructing a full sized house inside the RI Convention Center – only this time it’s bigger and better. Better because this year the house is decorated by Karen Corinha from Corinha Design, fully landscaped by the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscapers Association, and includes a huge outdoor patio from Arnold Lumber Backyard. 

Visitors will be able to walk through this model home, which will feature everything from furniture and appliances to lighting and landscaping. We promise you won’t leave without ideas!

Join the 13th Annual Washington Trust Peanut Butter Drive!

Did you know that a $5 donation can buy 4 jars of peanut butter for a family in need? That is enough to make 64 sandwiches! Instead of buying your lunch, pack a peanut butter sandwich and donate the money you would have spent on buying a lunch to Washington Trust's 13th Annual Peanut Butter Drive, benefitting the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Since 2001, Washington Trust has collected more than 100 tons of peanut butter with the help of local schools, businesses and organizations. Through the month of March, local businesses have been hosting Peanut Butter Drive events to benefit local food pantries.  Click here to see a list of participating businesses.

Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Sports Park – On March 3rd, Yawgoo collected 52 jars of peanut butter and more than $300 to benefit the Johnnycake Center of Peace Dale, RI. A big thanks to everyone who made donations!

Roger Williams Park Zoo – From March 1 to March 22, the Zoo will offer one complimentary child’s admission (ages 3 - 12) to each family that brings a jar of peanut butter (minimum 16 oz. size) to Zoo admissions for donation. There is still time to take advantage of this great special!
