Washington Trust Set to Open Third Cranston Branch

Washington Trust will open its third branch office in Cranston, Rhode Island in late summer 2012. Our new branch will be located at 2174 Plainfield Pike (the site of the former Tim Horton's shop) near Comstock Parkway and Interstate 295. Scheduled to open fall 2012, the facility is currently undergoing renovations. Upon completion, the 3,600 square foot branch will feature the latest conveniences and technology to meet the banking needs of local depositors, homeowners, businesses, and borrowers. The interior of the full-service branch will feature four teller stations, two customer service areas, management offices, a safe deposit box vault and a walk-up ATM. Exterior conveniences include two-lane drive up banking lanes, a night deposit safe and a drive-up ATM.

“Washington Trust has had tremendous success with our Cranston branches on Reservoir and Oaklawn Avenues,” stated Joseph J. MarcAurele, Washington Trust Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re excited to bring our community banking services to residents and businesses in the western Cranston area.”

A Better Way to Pay Your Bills

With Washington Trust's Bill Pay and E-Billing you can take care of your personal banking any time from any computer with Internet access. You can pay and receive your bills electronically, all with the click of a mouse. Bill Pay and E-Billing is FREE with any Washington Trust checking account. Managing your money has never been so easy. Turn to your online account for a better way to pay bills.

  • Avoid the hassle of writing checks or paying your bills at various websites.
  • Make payments 24/7 anywhere you have Internet access.
  • Pay multiple bills in minutes with a few clicks.

Here are even more smart reasons to pay your bills online:

You set the payment amount and date. When you use auto debit or ACH payments, those payments are taken directly from your account every month whether you’re ready for them or not. When you pay bills online you have more flexibility. You’re always in complete control over how much you want to pay and when.

You can pay all of your bills from one place. Tired of remembering passwords from multiple sites to pay your bills? When you pay bills online, there’s just one place to log in to pay everyone. From one simple site, you can pay your utilities, loans and even your friends or family members.

You can change or cancel a payment as needed. Other online payment options can be really inflexible. But when you pay bills online, you can modify a payment anytime before it is processed. This means you’re always in complete control of your money.

You safeguard your credit score. Late fees can adversely affect your credit score. Avoid them by setting up email reminders that alert you when bills are due. Schedule automatic payments for all your recurring bills – everything from car loans to home mortgages.

Log in to your online account and get started today! For more information, please call 800-475-2265 to speak with a Washington Trust Retail Banker.
