Q. Can I download my transactions into Microsoft Money with Online Banking?
A. Yes. You can download your transactions from within Microsoft Money through a direct connection to Online Banking. Simply follow these instructions for Microsoft Money 2006 - 2008:
Microsoft Money 2006 - 2008
- Open Money. At the file menu, select New, New File.
- Create a file name and click OK.
- At the Thank you for using Microsoft Money, click Next.
- At the Help protect your online privacy and security screen click Decline.
- When asked if you want to continue without Passport/Network credentials, click Yes.
- Check I don't want to use a password for my Money file box and click Next.
- At the Add your accounts, click Next.
- At the Choose an Account type screen, select Banking, click Next.
- Click on T for The Washington Trust Company, click Next; Highlight The Washington Trust Company and click Next.
- Select No, I don't have sign-in information for The Washington Trust Company, click on Next.
- Select I want to request sign-information that I can use with Money and click Next.
- Get new bank credentials screen displays, click on Next.
- The Washington Trust website home page displays.
- Open another browser, manually type in the Direct Connect URL www.washtrust.com/onlineserv/OFX/OFXRegister.cgi, the Washington Trust Welcome to Personal Manager Registration screen displays.
- Enter your SSN with no dashes and your online banking password, click Register.
- Complete the registration form and click Submit Enrollment.
- Verify registration information and click Confirm.
- Enrollment Complete screen displays, close out of screen and return to Money.
- At the Add your bank or brokerage sign-in information screen, click on Done.
- Congratulations screen displays, click on Finish.
- In the left hand navigation, click on Account List.
- Above the register, click on set up online updates for this bank.
- The Select a bank or brokerage screen displays. Click on T for The Washington Trust Company and select it. Click on Next.
- The Do you already have sign-in information? screen displays. Select Yes I have special sign-in information for use with Money and click Next.
- Enter your SSN with no dashes in the User ID field and the password you created on the registration form. Click on Next.
- The Choose account update settings screen displays. Select the amount of account history to download and click Next.
- The Update your account information screen displays. Click on OK.
- Click on a bank account link to access your account register.
Q. What is Direct Connect?
A. Direct Connect allows you to connect to Washington Trust's Personal Online Banking through your Microsoft Money personal financial management software through a secure password.
