Mark, a Barrington, R.I. resident, is Senior Executive Vice President, Wealth Management and Chief Strategy Officer. He is responsible for establishing and executing strategy for the wealth management division, oversight of the bank’s investment and wholesale funding portfolios, and corporate strategic planning.

He joined Washington Trust in September 1993 as financial planning officer and most recently served as executive vice president and treasurer, with responsibility for the retail banking division.

Mark graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in 1987, and a master's degree in 1988 from the London School of Economics in London, England. Mark serves as President of the Rhode Island Free Clinic and past President of the Community College of Rhode Island Charitable Foundation. He is a board member of the Trinity Repertory Company, the Rhode Island Philharmonic & Music School, Rhode Island Public Radio, Providence Athenaeum, The Miriam Hospital Foundation and The Wolf School. He also serves as Lecturer on the faculty of the Morin Center for Banking at the Boston University School of Law.
