People of Washington Trust: Paul Pimentel

There are so many reasons to choose Washington Trust, one of which is our people. In this edition of our “People of Washington Trust” series, get to know Paul Pimentel, Manager of the Washington Trust branch in East Providence, Rhode Island (587 Taunton Avenue).

Favorite ways to spend my time: Spending quality time with my family…preferably doing anything outdoors.

I’d like to be remembered for: Being a trusted advisor to customers, a mentor to colleagues, and the best dad ever.

Time I went “above and beyond” the call of duty: I drove to an elderly customer’s house to shovel her front steps and walkway after a snow storm.

Top of my bucket list: Sky Diving and visiting all 50 states…. 33 down and 17 left to go!

When I was a kid I wanted to be: A professional athlete

First job: Paychex office clerk

Favorite book: Patriot Reign by Michael Holley

Favorite music: Guns N' Roses

Favorite films: Scarface, Rocky 1,2,3

Favorite TV series: Grey’s Anatomy

Traits I most admire: Hard-work, honesty, and integrity.

Favorite quote: "You only live once….but if you do it right, once is enough."

Can’t live without: Sports. My wife would attest to this. I would be lost without competition.

Best advice: Make good decisions, set an effective plan and execute it consistently.

I’d love to meet: Tom Brady….. nobody is even a close second.
