Business Spotlight: Defying Gravity School of Dance

Business owner, Nicole Bibby, opened Defying Gravity School of Dance after graduating from Salve Regina 13 years ago in the summer of 2008. Dance has been a passion of hers since the age of three. After traveling throughout the United States competing and performing, she knew she wanted to give back the same dance education and experiences she received from her dance teacher, Kelly Cannone with Dance Artistry.
Located in East Greenwich, Defying Gravity School of Dance offers classes for ages 2 years and up, including ballet, jazz, contemporary/lyrical, acrobats, hip hop, tap, yoga and fitness. Nicole says the best part of owning her own studio is creating a close dance family and seeing her students grow and succeed. Growing up in the area, she is thankful to own a business in a community that is so special to her, which allows her to give back and help shape the lives of the dancers she teaches. She also credits Washington Trust for helping her reach out to the community she serves and for providing the financial guidance she needs to help her business continue to grow.
Defying Gravity Dance has received many best-in-studio awards and student scholarships for dance, so if you’re interested, just mention this ad and try a FREE class, or receive $25 off a “Glow” Birthday Party!
