Business Spotlight: Huck's Filling Station

Huck's Filling Station, on the corner of Division Street and Post Road on the Warwick/East Greenwich line, is a celebration of local bounty with inspiration being drawn from across the globe. New England Coastal with a Southern Twang is how their cuisine is described. Chef Todd Camp has traveled the world and showcases his experiences on their seasonal menus, while award-winning beverage director, Ryan Draine, curates a bar menu that can easily be paired alongside the culinary offerings or simply enjoyed on their own in good company.

Owners Jeffrey Quinlan and Edward Brady quickly fell in love with the site. The name Huck's Filling Station came together because historically (dating back to the 1930's) this corner has been a local service station and the owners wanted to pay homage to such a decorated past with the "Filling Station" moniker. The name also represents what family means to them by using Quinlan's first born, Huckleberry, as the namesake.

When asked what their favorite part of owning a business is, the two remarked, “This industry excites us...breathing life into and providing a pulse to a location that may otherwise have been overlooked, and with the team we have surrounding us and the support from our family, friends and most importantly our guests, it's hard to not stay enthusiastic about the prospect of creating something revolving around community and kinship.” Their mantra? "Happiness is only real when shared."

Partners in several other restaurants throughout the state of Rhode Island, they find that every community they’re a part of is unique in its own right, and East Greenwich is no exception. Loyal and supportive are two words they’ve used to describe their customers, as well as their Bank. “Washington Trust offers unparalleled customer service for the everyday demands of a small business.”
