Michelle L. Kile
Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Banking Officer
Michelle serves as the Bank’s Chief Retail Banking Officer and leads Washington Trust’s Retail Banking, Customer Solutions Center, and Digital Banking Services groups. Her teams are focused on delivering superior solutions-oriented customer service and high-quality digital tools to customers across Washington Trust’s footprint. Michelle has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, with extensive expertise in retail branch services, business development, recruitment, new product development, and customer experience. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded the rollout of innovative retail banking products and programs, improved profitability and customer experience outcomes, and has worked collaboratively across business lines to achieve shared goals. Prior to joining Washington Trust, Michelle served as Vice President of Branch Services at Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) in Franklin, Mass. Michelle also has extensive speaking and panelist experience at industry events.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College. A Rhode Island resident, Michelle is very active in the communities Washington Trust serves. She has been involved with the United Way of Central Massachusetts for many years, including service on the Women’s Initiative Advisory Committee, and most recently, as Co-Vice Chair of the Dollar $cholar Financial Committee.
