C. Scott Ostrowski

Senior Vice President, Chief Audit Executive

Scott Ostrowski is Senior Vice President and Chief Audit Executive of The Washington Trust Company, responsible for overseeing administration of all Internal Audit activities, including preparing and directing the corporate-wide annual audit plan, and directing all facets of large-scale full-scope audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 testing. Ostrowski reports directly to the Audit Committee of Washington Trust’s Board of Directors. He joined Washington Trust in 2006 and has more than 25 years of banking experience in internal audit, branch operations, and project management.

Ostrowski earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and is a graduate of the Leadership Rhode Island Class of 2012.  He is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and The Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA), and a past president and past treasurer of the board of directors of The IIA’s Ocean State chapter.

An active member of the community, Ostrowski currently serves on McAuley Ministries’ board of directors and was previously treasurer of South County Habitat for Humanity’s board of directors.
