Washington Trust and Amos House Kick Off Financial Literacy Month with Educational Series

April 11, 2024

Washington Trust (“the Bank”) today announced the launch of a Financial Wellness Presentation Series (“Series”) with Amos House to celebrate Financial Literacy Month.

Washington Trust employees will present four financial education sessions for Amos House guests on topics such as banking, budgeting, savings, investing, and fraud prevention. The Series is part of Washington Trust’s ongoing commitment to and support of Amos House. The Washington Trust Charitable Foundation provided a 3-year, $30,000 grant to the Amos House Financial Opportunity Center, and provides Amos House guests with access to a free digital Financial Wellness Center full of educational articles, financial calculators, and interactive coaching sessions that help guests achieve key financial milestones.

“Washington Trust is committed to helping our neighbors achieve financial stability and economic empowerment,” said Edward O. “Ned” Handy III. “We’re proud to support Amos House with their mission as they guide their guests on a journey toward self-sufficiency.”
