Washington Trust Promotes Daniel Orovitz to Vice President of the Bank’s Cash Management Division

Westerly, RI – October 11, 2019 - The Washington Trust Company is pleased to announce that Daniel Orovitz has been promoted to Vice President for the Company’s Cash Management division. In his new role, Orovitz will focus on business development and help business customers achieve efficiencies in receivables, payables and treasury management. Washington Trust’s Cash Management division also provides fraud protection services to help minimize risk to organizations and safeguard accounts against potential fraud.
Orovitz joined Washington Trust in 2014 as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, for the Bank’s branch in Johnston, RI. In 2016 he was promoted to Vice President and moved to manage Washington Trust’s Reservoir Avenue branch in Cranston, RI. Orovitz has more than 10 years of banking experience in the Rhode Island market. By utilizing his experience in retail, customer service, and relationship building, he is uniquely positioned to help Washington Trust’s Cash Management customers continue to grow and be profitable in today's highly competitive markets. Orovitz earned his bachelor’s in business administration from Bryant University where he also earned his MBA in 2008. He is a board member for the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, and he and his wife and daughter live in North Smithfield, RI.
