Washington Trust Wealth Management Hires Senior Wealth Advisor to Serve Eastern Massachusetts

The Washington Trust Company is pleased to announce that Kathleen Smith, CFP® has joined the Bank’s Wealth Management division as Vice President, Senior Wealth Advisor. In her role with Washington Trust Wealth Management, she will manage the portfolios of institutional clients and individuals and families to help them efficiently meet their goals through a combination of investment, estate, insurance, and tax planning services and advice. Kathleen is based out of the company’s Wellesley, MA office.
Kathleen brings more than 30 years of experience in the wealth management and financial planning fields. Most recently, she served as an assistant vice president and financial advisor at Morgan Stanley.
A Massachusetts resident, Kathleen is an active member of her community. She previously served as a Board Member of the Holliston Education Foundation, as the Treasurer of the Board for the Warren Benevolent Fund and as the President of the Network of Enterprising Women. She regularly volunteers with The Jimmy Fund and is an avid supporter of the ASPCA, the MSPCA, the National Resources Defense Council, the Adirondack Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.
Kathleen is a CFP® practitioner and obtained her CIMA® designation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds an MBA from the University of California, as well as a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from the MGH Institute for Health Professions.
