Paying Your Washington Trust Loan is Easy!
There are many ways to make your loan payment online or by phone. Explore your payment options below. If you have any questions, please contact our Loan Operations Team.
Online Banking
- From an existing Washington Trust account: Log into Digital Banking and select WTC Transfers & Loan Payments within the Transfer, Pay or Send menu.
- From an account at another bank or credit union: Log into Digital Banking and select Message Us within the Contact Us menu. Compose a new message and select the External Loan Payment subject option, choose the loan in the Account drop down menu and complete Financial Institution Name, Routing Number, Account Number, Checking or Savings Account, and Amount of the Debit within the Message section. Complete the request by selecting Send Message.
Mobile Banking
- From an existing Washington Trust account: From your Mobile App, tap Transfers, then Make a Transfer.
- From an account at another bank or credit union: If you are using our Mobile App, tap the More menu from your mobile device, then select Contact Us then Message Us. Compose a new message and select the External Loan Payment Subject option, choose the loan in the Account drop down menu and complete the Financial Institution Name, Routing Number, Account Number, Checking or Savings Account, and Amount of the Debit within the Message section. Complete the request by selecting Send Message.
Over the Phone
Make a payment from your Washington Trust Checking, Savings or Money Market account by calling our 24/7 Telephone Banking line at 800-226-5877 or 401-348-1399 or contact our Loan Operations department to make a payment during business hours at 401-348-1336, option 2.
By Mail
You can make your loan payments using US Postal Mail.

- Overnight Mailing Address: The Washington Trust Company, Loan Operations, 23 Broad Street, Westerly, RI 02891
Monthly Automatic Payments
To set up a monthly automatic payment, complete the Authorization Agreement For Preauthorized Loan Payments Secure Form located under the Account Services menu and select Secure Forms.
