Kathi has more than 35 years of experience in the wealth management and financial services industries with extensive expertise in advising clients on wealth preservation, asset transfer, charitable giving, business succession and estate and gift tax planning issues. She began her career with Washington Trust as Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Client Services and leader of the business development efforts for the Wealth Management division. Prior to joining Washington Trust, she was a Partner at the law firm of Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, where she served as Chair for the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group. Kathi maintains her long-standing memberships of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Florida Bar Associations and is a frequent speaker and published source on financial, estate and tax planning issues. She has served as co-editor for the 2017 and 2019 updates to “Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Rhode Island”, MCLE New England (2011), and was co-author of a chapter entitled Practical Steps Handling an Estate Planning Matter, Vol. 1 of this 2011 publication. Kathi was recognized with the “Business Women Award” as an Industry Leader in Financial Services by Providence Business News.
Kathi holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.
A Rhode Island resident, Kathi is very active in the communities that Washington Trust serves. She currently serves on the Finance Council for the Diocese of Providence. Kathi has also held previous Board positions, leadership roles and provided volunteer efforts to many organizations, such as A Wish Come True, Women & Infants Hospital, Crossroads Rhode Island, The Rhode Island Community Foundation, IN-SIGHT, Memorial Hospital, Diocese of Providence Catholic Charity Fund Appeal, Providence College President’s Council, Providence College National Alumni Association, Preserve RI and South County Hospital Professional Advisory Board.
