March 04, 2022
Westerly, RI – The Washington Trust Company was recognized with an Exemplary, Worksite Health Award from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce for effective programs encouraging employee health and well-being in a meaningful way.
The Annual Worksite Health Awards celebrate companies that prioritize employee wellness. In this year’s awards program, companies were once again recognized for their support of employees’ physical and emotional well-being during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
2021 marks the 5th consecutive year that Washington Trust has received this award, and the 14th year overall that the organization has been named to the winners list. Washington Trust was one of more than 30 Rhode Island-based businesses honored by BCBSRI and the Chamber in recognition of their continued efforts to advance employee wellness and build a healthier Rhode Island.
“At Washington Trust, we know that our employees are our most valuable asset and we have worked hard to prioritize their well-being, especially throughout the pandemic,” said Kristen DiSanto, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “As we emerge from a difficult time, we remain committed to providing a comprehensive wellness program to help our employees thrive both at work and in their personal lives. We’re proud to receive this honor from BCBSRI and the Chamber again this year.”
